Established in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines in 1983, Mactan Rock Industries Inc. started as an industrial chemical manufacturer specializing in water treatment chemicals and industrial preventive maintenance chemicals.

The Management Committee and the Executive Committee of Mactan Rock are optimistic and excited to start year 2024 with the right mindset and strong direction. Year 2023 was its 40th year and Mactan Rock ended the year with its newly renovated building at Subabasbas, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, a new service vehicle for its employees, and the “Captain of the Industry: Water Bulk” award by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry during its 120th Anniversary Gala Night.
Last December 11-16, 2023, Mactan Rock conducted its annual conference. It was attended by its key personnel from the different branches nationwide. With its theme “Stronger Beyond 40,” Mactan Rock has its objectives and targets focused on operational excellence, continued regulatory and government compliance, and digitalization in order to better serve and satisfy its customers. This 2024, Mactan Rock also aims to transition with the incorporation of two of its business units on water and chemicals.

The Gala Night held last December 6, 2023 at the Nustar Convention Center, SRP, Cebu City was attended by Mactan Rock’s President/CEO Mr. Lito R. Maderazo, co-founder Atty. Anastacio T. Muntuerto Jr., Dir. Alfonso B. Susara, Water Business Unit Manager and Dir. of Administration Ms. Prexie Mae B. Tompar, the daughter of co-founder Engr. Antonio P. Tompar, Equipment Business Unit Manager and Dir. Iovanni E. Tomabang and his wife Dr. Mylene Maceren-Tomabang, daughter of the late co-founder Mr. William A. Maceren.
Mactan Rock thanks the Chamber for recognizing its endeavors and valuable contribution in the water and wastewater treatment industry for the past 40 years of existence of Mactan Rock.
"Mactan Rock Joins Philsutech Convention"
MRII joined the 69th Annual National Convention 2023 of the Philippine Sugar Technologist (PHILSUTECH), located at A22 2nd Flr. Mezzanine, Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City from August 22 to 25, 2023.
Our dynamic, energetic, and competent Sales Cluster Managers and Sales Executives from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao gathered together in this Convention to meet and greet with various clients and customers, answer queries, and offer total water management solutions through chemicals, equipment, and water distribution products and services.
Mr. Raju Sharma, the Associate Vice President – Business Development of International Business Ion Exchange (India) Ltd., Industrial Chemicals Division also joined and partnered with Mactan Rock in this event.
SAFETY TOOLBOX TALKS
Mactan Rock is now consolidated in one office/plant located at Subabasbas, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. One of the thrusts of Mactan Rock is it’s SAFETY FIRST policy.
Thus starting the month of August, company personnel who have undergone 40-hours of Basic Occupational Safety and Health or Construction Occupational Safety and Health training take turns each day to conduct toolbox meetings at the start of each working day.
As defined by DOLE at it’s website, a safety talk is an informal safety meeting that focuses on safety topics related to workplace hazards and safe work practices. It is regularly conducted at the job site prior to the commencement of work shift.
Daily safety topics include electrical safety, fire safety, chemical safety, machine and tool safety, us of PPE, safety in heights or enclosed spaces, etc.
